Lift Operations Supervisor

Full time seasonal positions available

Responsibilities:

  • Providing training to all lift operators
  • Coaching staff to maintain a high standard of customer service
  • Training staff on all operating and safety procedures of GMR chair lifts
  • Assisting with the operation of lifts by overseeing daily operations
  • Showing others how to perform duties
  • Assisting with employee relations 
  • Reporting guest comments and liability concerns directly to Supervisor
  • Monitoring guest safety and reporting safety issues to Health & Safety Manager
  • Assisting with lift operations meetings for every shift; arranging for staff breaks and ensuring coverage of operations; and inspects lifts daily
  • Assisting with pre-operational checks and closing checks and conducting routine inspections of chair lifts during operating hours
  • Assisting with hiring and preparation of schedules. 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year experience operating chairlifts
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Knowledge of Grouse Mountain Resort policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of fixed grip and detachable chairlifts 
  • Possess excellent customer service skills
  • Possess good computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
