Responsibilities:
- Greeting and serving guests at tables according to outlined Observatory standards
- Coordinating delivery of food items with the kitchen
- Maintaining the physical integrity of the dining facility from table set-up to bus-station mis-en-place
- Following cash-out procedures as set forth by the accounting department
- Following gratuity distribution procedures to ensure that all support colleagues are treated equitably
- Cooperating with management in other departments and assist as needed
- Being available and receptive to training programs such that we may provide knowledgeable and professional service at a competitive level
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years fine-dining experience preferred
- Proficient in the service of classic dishes, with a proven level of comfort with culinary terminology
- Solid grasp of wine and cocktail service, with a well-rounded knowledge of the same in order to recommend and up-sell quality products to guests
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Excellent employee and public relation skills, and of a naturally friendly and co-operative nature
