Eat Local Recipe Contest Result

The first-annual Grouse Mountain Eat Local Recipe Contest results are in with Marg Liebel’s “B.C. goat cheese and pear tart with pepper jelly” triumphant. The Yaletown resident’s favourite family recipe was selected from numerous mouth-watering entries by a panel of judges for its delicious taste and use of sustainable foods originating in the Lower Mainland.

Mother nature is right on time at the peak of Vancouver as Grouse Mountain marks a momentous 82nd ski season opening on Saturday, December 13, 2008. Snow enthusiasts can look forward to swapping their sunglasses for goggles as they journey along the newly installed Greenway Chair, and ski or snowboard along the famed Paradise run.

Vancouver’s favourite holiday tradition

Guests can visit Santa's Workshop and meet real reindeer, or experience the tranquil beauty of skating on our 8,000 square foot mountaintop ice skating pond. Visitors can also learn more about Santa's reindeer at our daily ranger interpretive talks or take a photo with Santa to keep as a memento.

Iconic wind turbine at Grouse Mountain

The District of North Vancouver has approved the construction of a single wind turbine atop Grouse Mountain, creating B.C.'s first viable wind energy solution.
