Altitudes Bistro Manager

Full time position available

Responsible for: 

  • Setting goals and objectives for Altitudes Bistro 
  • Ensuring the provision of excellent guest service 
  • Providing full range of supervisory functions including recruiting, training, performance reviews and day-to-day coaching of staff 
  • Participating in preparation of budgets 
  • Promoting business to increase profits 
  • Collaborating with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to design menus and calculate pricing 
  • Coaching staff how to increase sales 
  • Assisting with service delivery and ensuring standards are met and exceeded 
  • Ordering alcoholic beverages and completes monthly inventory 
  • Monitoring current trends in the industry and providing input into menus and features

Qualifications: 

  • Formal training or a Diploma in Hotel and or Food & Beverage management preferred 
  • Experience supervising staff required 
  • Minimum of three years senior operational experience in a Bistro type restaurant required 
  • Experience managing labour and revenue costs 
  • Experience managing a restaurant as an independent business unit preferred 
  • Knowledge of the culinary arts, wines, spirits and beverages required 
  • Knowledge of different styles of food and beverage service required 
  • Ability to work well under pressure required 
  • Ability to communicate well orally and in writing required; second language skills an asset. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
