Phase ONE is here! Gravity has been officially defied. The Air Grouse experience puts you high above the alpine rainforest, careening through the air at speeds of more than 50KM/hour. Your 3-line adventure circuit will give you a unique perspective on the Blue Grouse Lake region of the mountain, combining heart pounding thrills with an exploration of BC’s breathtaking old-growth forests. Along the way you will learn about indigenous flora and fauna and its significance to First Nations people. Your aerial journey will culminate in a visit with our two orphaned grizzly bears. Full time and part time seasonal positions available (June 2008 – October 2008)
Responsibilities:
- Guiding Air Grouse Tours in a safe and professional manner.
- Ensuring the safety of all participants, through completion of daily safety inspections, diligence, group management and sound decision-making.
- Facilitating an exciting and memorable zip-line adventure for all guests.
- Performing an eco talk to accompany the zip tour
- Promoting Air Grouse and other GMR products
- Following all company policies and procedures
- Team player
- Completing reports
- Handling guest inquiries and comments through the Guest Services Dept.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience guiding groups of guests in an outdoor environment preferred
- First Aid qualifications considered an asset
- Strong communication skills
- Outgoing personality
- Candidates must undergo Air Grouse training and pass a written test
- Ability to work four ten hour shifts per week (zipline operating hours are (10:00 am – 8:30 pm, 7 days per week)
