Freestyle Terrain is any zone on the mountain that may contain some of the following elements: jumps, hits, ramps, funboxes, jibs, rails, embankments, halfpipes, quarterpipes, snowcross, freestyle bump terrain, or any other constructed or natural obstacles.
The Freestyle Terrain Park Rating System is to further enhance Park safety and education. Please familiarize yourself with the Entrance sign and feature marking system that can be found at all entrances of our parks. You can also consult your local Park Ranger with any questions and they will be glad to assist with any questions.

Are you new to Freestyle Terrain?
Grouse Mountain provides progressively sized Freestyle Terrain. For your safety and the safety of others, you should not enter or use any freestyle terrain until you are a competent rider or skier on all trails. You should be able to jump and land using natural terrain features outside of the parks and pipes before attempting any freestyle terrain.
Once you are ready to use freestyle terrain, ensure you are familiar with the Freestyle Terrain Park Rating System. Start with the Rookie Zone to get comfortable and confident on all features within this zone. You can also try the Paradise Jib Park to practice rail riding skills. When you are confident of your skills, try the Advanced Terrain Park on Side Cut. If you go through this suggested park progression, you will have used all levels starting with S and ending at XL rated features.
