Blue Grouse
Our triple-bottom line approach to sustainability in practice.
Although businesses must be run in a way that makes economic sense, it is import that they also contribute to the well being of both society and the environment. Below are a few economic initiatives we have taken on in line with our Blue Grouse philosophy.
Local Economy
Grouse Mountain injects over $120 million into our local economy. We are the top four-season attraction in Vancouver, generating tourism awareness and opportunity. Grouse Mountain’s iconic status as a tourism destination has stimulated significant opportunities for local hotels and accommodations.
Employee Benefits
Grouse Mountain supplies dollar-matched RRSP programs for full-time employees and hosts Product Awareness programs for employees, leveraging its supplier relationships for mutual benefit. For more info on Employment Perks, visit our Careers page.
Our Passes
Since its launch in 1999, Grouse Mountain’s Y2Play snow pass campaign has drawn over 1 million skier and riders to the mountain. Our extensive pass holder base stimulates significant retail opportunities for local businesses.
Tourism
Grouse Mountain works with Tourism Vancouver and Tourism British Columbia to promote our city as a top tourist destination and with Vancouver Coast & Mountain to promote our region as a top tourism destination. We also work with the Canadian Tourism Commission to promote Canada as a top tourism destination.
2010 Olympic Games
Grouse Mountain committed a significant investment as a Community Contributor to securing the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympics Winter Games.
