One of Canada’s top snowboarding events. On March 25 and 26, 2011 come up and watch top international and local snowboard talent competing for $20K in cash and prizes. This year’s event has a 4-Star ranking as part of the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour, which is the premiere event circuit in the world. The weekend consists of Friday QualifIiers, Friday Night Jib Session, the Saturday Park Session, and many other festivities throughout the weekend.

Showdown Over the City is Grouse Mountain’s marquee snowboard event. Returning for the fourth time after taking an Olympic break in 2010 the event will showcase the very best in men’s snowboarding.

The Contest is broken down into two male specific categories: amateur and pro. Amateurs will compete on Friday, March 25 to earn a spot competing against the pro category Saturday, March 26. There is $20,000 total prize money up for grabs- $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second, $2,000 for third and $3,000 for a rider judged best trick.
