With the 2016 hiking season now underway following the opening of the Grouse Grind, Grouse Mountain is pleased to announce a new partnership with Finnish sport technology company Suunto. The one year agreement will provide the Grind community with an introduction to the benefits of Suunto’s innovative sports technology.

“We’re very excited about this new opportunity and feel that Grouse Mountain complements the brand character and experiences of Suunto users very well” said Marty Stacey, Suunto Canada Commercial Manager. “Now Grinders will be able to track their health and fitness progress using Suunto watches along with the Movescount app and share their grind times with others. We look forward to all the new experiences this partnership brings.”

As the Grouse Grind community centers around celebrating personal accomplishment and fitness achievement in the outdoors, Suunto provides a natural complement with their focus on assisting adventurers and sports enthusiasts to explore and conquer new territory both physically and mentally.

“We believe Suunto’s focus on innovation and development of tools for people to set and achieve fitness goals is a great fit for Grouse Mountain and more specifically, the Grind community.” said Grouse Mountain’s Senior Marketing Manager Ainslie Fincham. “We’re looking forward to sharing this exciting technology with our community through activations at a number of our on-trail events this summer.”

Suunto will be showcasing their products on the Grouse Grind this summer as well as sponsoring a number of Grind events this summer including:
• Seek the Peak – June 12
• Multi-Grind Challenge – June 21
• Shoes.com Grouse Grind Mountain Run – September 24
