(North Vancouver) It’s the news that local skiers and riders have been anxiously waiting for; Grouse Mountain will officially open tomorrow, November 20th at 2:00 pm for our 89th winter season.

Following the recent snowfall on the North Shore combined with colder temperatures that allowed us to fire up snowmaking, Paradise Bowl and the Paradise Jib Park will be opening with access via the Greenway Chair for skiing and riding at discounted pricing.

“Thanks to a snowy start to November plus the incredible efforts of our snowmaking team, we’re excited to be opening for the 2015/16 winter season,” said Grouse Mountain Alpine Operations Manager Grant Wahl. “Mother Nature delivered over 50cm of snow in the past week and with cold temperatures continuing in the forecast, we’ll be working hard to open up more terrain for skiing and riding soon.”

The early season snowfall is also good news for local snowshoers. The Snowshoe Grind will also be opening tomorrow, November 20th at 9:00am with access via the Skyride.

The 2015/16 winter season is set to be a great one at the Peak of Vancouver with new Black Diamond night skiing and riding terrain on Blazes, the addition of a new Sliding Zone plus enhancements to the North Shore’s most extensive snowmaking fleet.

In celebration of the recent snowfall, Grouse Mountain is holding our first ever 48-hour White Sale. For a very limited time, we are offering a 10% discount on 5-Day and 10-Day Snow Packs. This special offer is a fantastic way to access to all that Grouse Mountain has to offer this winter, but only available until 8:59 am on November 21st.
