With the May long-weekend signaling the unofficial start to summer, Grouse Mountain is excited to launch the Summer of Flight at the Peak of Vancouver. Beginning this Saturday, May 21st, guests are invited to lift off and explore the wonders of flight through a variety of unique activities.

“We are excited to kick-off our summer exploration into the fascinating world of flight,” said Julia Grant, Grouse Mountain Communications Manager. “From the Grouse Mountain Skyride to thrilling Mountain Zipline adventures or scenic Helicopter Tours – a wide variety of airborne adventure awaits our visitors at the Peak of Vancouver.”

The centerpiece of this journey into flight is the awe-inspiring Birds in Motion demonstration, updated this year to allow guests of all ages to witness some of nature's finest athletes demonstrate what they do best – free flight. In addition, visitors can enjoy a variety of complimentary Summer of Flight experiences dedicated to learning more about the Mountain’s flying feathered friends and the mechanics of flight including Self-Guided Bird Watching Tours, a Paper Airplane Challenge and flight-themed movies in the Theatre in the Sky.

New this summer, visitors can embark on the ultimate in aerial exploration with our Skyride Surf Adventure (beginning late June). Take in the stunning 360-degree views from the roof of the tram cabin as you soar above the trees on your way to the mountaintop.

Thrill-seeking guests can zoom across the mountaintop on a Mountain Zipline adventure or take off from the Peak on a Tandem Paragliding flight. For the ultimate view of the North Shore Mountains, guests can take to the skies on a scenic Helicopter Tour.
