Adventure Day Camps

Juniors (5-7), kids (8-12) and youth (12-14) can explore the Mountain and have fun in nature's backyard.

Youth Venture Camp (12-14)

Youth will experience activities such as ice skating, snow cave construction and back country hiking. The course will finish with a 3 line zip tour.and a long-table fondue. The program offers a number of real life experiences that will help youth find their passions and make informed decisions in their daily lives.

Snow Shoe Guide
  • A day in the Life of a snowshoe guide
  • Hike to Dam Mountain
  • Equipment – snowshoe, essential items
  • Trail/Mountain Knowledge and Safety Precautions

Ski Patrol
  • Mock Rescues
  • First Aid Emergencies
  • Avalanche Prevention

Other Activities include

Leadership Development
  • Group Management – Managing large groups of campers in an outdoor setting
  • Camper Care – Caring for campers: physically, mentally and emotionally
  • Safety and First Aid – Keeping safe while leading camps on the mountain
  • Code of Conduct – Grouse Expectations & Policies/How to behave while on duty 
  • Disclosures and Confidentiality – How to responsibly deal with sensitive information
  • Risky Behavior – Addressing the grey areas of childcare/safeguarding oneself

The 2017.2018 Winter season has begun! Skiing and riding is available weekdays from 3pm-10pm and weekends & holidays from 9am-10pm. Check back frequently for updates on further terrain and extended hours!
