Wilderness Survival Snowshoe Adventure

This program is right for your team if...

  • You have a group that is looking for a physical challenge that can be scaled to meet all fitness levels
  • You are looking to explore concepts such as achieving success with limited resources, competition vs. collaboration, and the development of roles and responsibilities
  • Your team would like to learn more about the wilderness environment
  • You have a new team and would like to provide a challenging and fun yet low stress icebreaker activity

Activity Summary

In this adventure challenge, your team will pit its knowledge against the experts to see how long they would survive if stranded in the wild. Teams will receive a list of gear options and evaluate items for usefulness in the survival scenario. They will then create a final list to compare against the expert list. Once participants have gained some insight into how to pack for survival, they will head out on a snowshoe tour where one of our knowledgeable guides will outline the dangers of the wilderness as well as what you can use to help you survive. Finally participants will meet up and use their newly acquired knowledge in a shelter building competition judged by the Grouse Mountain experts.
