It’s one thing to get out in nature, and it’s another thing to capture some of the beauty in a photograph. On select dates this summer, we're offering sessions with professional photographer and our Grouse Mountain Wildlife Manager, Devin Manky. He'll provide important technical and artistic “pointers” and take a small group to desirable locations at which to capture natural scenes. The September session takes place on September 21, from 7-9pm and is all about night sky/ long exposure photography.

About Devin: In addition to his role as Wildlife Manager for Grouse Mountain Resort, Devin Manky is an established, professional photographer. Devin shoots extensively for the Vancouver Canucks and Fencing Canada. His work has taken him around the world and is regularly picked up by Getty Images. While Devin has made a name for himself as an action & sports photographer, his roots are in wildlife and landscape photography. Some of his most beloved images are those of Grinder and Coola and views from atop Grouse Mountain. Devin is a soon-to-be father, and his recent work includes maternity photography featuring his beautiful wife.

Attire: Guests should wear clothing and footwear appropriate for a mountaintop walk, considering weather conditions. Bug spray may be desirable.

Equipment:  Macro – a camera that can close focus (without losing quality/becoming grainy); ideally SLR or DSLR with macro aspect ratio lens
