Quiksilver Showdown Over the City 2012
Watch top local and international talent compete
One of Canada’s top snowboarding events.
On March 23 and 24, 2012 come up and watch top international and local snowboard talent competing for $10K in cash plus thousands of dollars in prizes.
This year’s event has a 4-Star ranking as part of the Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour, which is the premiere event circuit in the world.
The weekend consists of Friday Qualifiers, Friday Night Rail Jam Session, the Saturday Finals and many other festivities throughout the weekend.
Showdown Over the City is Grouse Mountain’s marquee snowboard event.
Returning for the fifth time after taking an Olympic break in 2010 the event will showcase the very best in men’s snowboarding.
The Contest is broken down into two male specific categories: Amateur and Pro.
Amateurs will compete on Friday, March 23 to earn a spot competing against the Pro category Saturday, March 24.
There is $10,000 total prize money up for grabs -
$5,000 for first place, $3,000 for second, $2,000 for third.
The Rail Jam will award cash the best tricks throughout the evening.
