Skyride

High above towering Douglas firs, breathtaking views of the city of Vancouver, sparkling Pacific Ocean, Gulf Islands, and snowy peaks unfold as you journey up the mountainside. North America's largest aerial tramway system is your gateway to the majestic nature of The Peak of Vancouver, and an experience in itself. Whether you're in search of the perfect photo, or a romantic dinner at The Observatory, your adventure begins with the Skyride.

Hours of Operation 
Daily: 9:00am-9:00pm 
*last upload at 8:00pm

The Skyride operates year-round, departing every 15 minutes.
The first downhill Skyride departs at 7:30am.

A round trip Skyride is included with a Mountain Admission Ticket or Annual Membership.

SKYRIDE OPERATIONAL PROTOCOLS:
  • A new Timed Skyride Booking system has been implemented for all passengers (guests and passholders) travelling uphill and downhill on the Skyride. 
  • Advance online ticket purchase recommended to reduce lineups and interaction. 
  • Temperature screening is required for all passengers before boarding the Skyride. 
  • All passengers are required to wear non-medical face masks while boarding and travelling on the Skyride. (Guests can bring their own mask or one will be provided if needed.)  
  • Guests will be required to use hand sanitizer prior to boarding. 
  • Skyride capacity has been reduced by 70% to allow for physical distancing. 
  • Upper windows on the Skyride have been removed to allow for fresh air to circulate throughout the cabin. 
  • A new boarding procedure is in place with assigned spaces on the platform and on board the Skyride.

Grouse Mountain Health and Safety: PureClean CLEANING & SANITIZING PROTOCOLS:
  • The Skyride will be disinfected every evening following the last public trip.
  • Every 90 Days the Skyride will be treated with a surface protective coating known as AEGIS Microbe Shield treatment which is proven to effectively remove germs and microbes up to a 99.99% effectiveness.
  • All cleaning and sanitizing products used have been listed by Health Canada as likely to be effective and may be used against SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19.

Skyride Surf Adventure®

The Skyride Surf will not be operating during the 2020 Summer season. 

For summer, Grouse Mountain is pleased to offer the Skyride Surf Adventure™. Feel the wind on your face as you ascend 2,800 ft. from the Lower Terminal to the Peak Chalet – on the rooftop of the Grouse Mountain Super Skyride! You’ll be part of a small group accessing this special viewing platform.
