Sustainability in Motion

Sustainability in Motion is a great program for electrical or engineering students who want to learn more about the inner workings of a wind turbine. Starting with a classroom session, our specially trained Educator takes the students through the building of the turbine, the electrical system functionality and basic set up, shares the unique features and experiences, and discusses the challenges of this world renowned project. After the classroom session, students will journey up Peak Chair to Eye of the Wind to experience for themselves what it feels like to be at the top of a wind turbine. The program’s final stop is in the electrical room with one of our electricians, who will brief the students on this unique power generator.
(Program available April-October only)

Teen Team Building

Teen Team Building offers students a unique opportunity to experience hands-on problem solving with friendly competition. Throughout the morning, teams travel across the mountain top alpine to complete a variety of challenges. Fun and interactive in a beautiful setting, this program will have your students more strongly connected to each other, to nature, and to themselves. After a lunch break, you can add on one of a variety of activities – snowshoeing, Ecowalk, skating, Hiwus Presentation, Lumberjack Show – to suit the personality and energy of your class the best.

Tourism Sneak Peek

Tourism Sneak Peek offers post-secondary students a behind-the-scenes look at one of our many departments. Choose the one that best fits your core program: Food & Beverage, Guest Services, Sales & Marketing, or Mountain Operations. Through-out the morning, we will take your class on a private tour, to a meet-n-greet with one of our managers, and a Q&A session. We encourage your students to prep 3-4 well though-out questions on topics that they most want to know about, as well as take the opportunity to ask impromptu questions along the way. After the tour, students will break for lunch in the Chalet, then on to a pre-determined activity of your choice – snowshoeing, Ecowalk, skating, Hiwus Presentation, Lumberjack Show – whichever best suits the personality and energy of your class.
