An introduction to the basics of snowshoeing. No experience necessary and beginner fitness levels encouraged. These single session tours introduce you to the basics of snowshoeing including tips and how to be safe in the winter alpine. Your guide will lead you through beautiful quiet trails and you will get a taste of the backcountry.

• Session includes snowshoe rentals, headlamps, and guided tour. For those who purchase Mountain Admission, with your ticket you will receive 20% off Grouse Mountain retail.

Pre-registration required; no day of program drop-in available.

Discovery Snowshoe Tours - Dates & Times:
Tuesdays 6:30pm-8:30pm (check-in at Fire Pit 6:15pm)
Saturdays 10:00am-12:00pm (check-in at Fire Pit 9:45am)

Starting January 4, every Tuesday and Saturday (based on registration) until March 29.

family adventure snowshoe tours

A great activity for the whole family to get out and explore your local mountain. On this family fun adventure, your experienced guide will encourage you to reconnect with nature, explore the alpine environment and learn about the surrounding flora, fauna and culture.

• Snowshoeing session is 1.5 hours in length, includes snowshoe rentals, and includes an après snowshoe hot chocolate. No experience necessary.

Pre-registration required; no day of program drop-in available.

Family Adventure Snowshoe Tours - Dates & Times:
Saturdays 1:00pm-2:30pm (check-in at Fire Pit 12:45pm)

Starting January 8th, every Saturday (based on registration) until April 2.

fitness focused snowshoe tours

This session is a fitness focused tour catered towards people with previous snowshoeing experience. Perfect for snowshoers who want to push their fitness limits and work their way up the Snowshoe Grind after dark! Feel the thrill of speed walking or jogging up the backcountry illuminated with headlamps. Your seasoned snowshoe guides and fitness instructors will give you tips and tricks to invigorate your snowshoe fitness levels.

The fitness evening starts with a warm-up, transitioning into the backcountry speed hike, some snowshoe specific strength building exercises, and a cool down and stretch at the end. Headlamps, guided backcountry tour and snowshoe fitness expert included. Bring your own headlamp if you have one.

Pre-registration required; no day of program drop-in available. Must be 13 years or older for registration.

Fitness Focused Snowshoe Tours - Dates & Times:
Thursdays 6:30pm-8:30pm (check-in at Fire Pit 6:15pm) 

Starting January 6th, every Thursday (based on registration) until March 31.
