Skating Pond Safety

Grouse Mountain is home to an 8,000-square foot outdoor ice skating pond. While enjoying Grouse Mountain’s Skating Pond we strongly recommend the use of helmets. In addition, please ensure you obey all postage signage and the direction of staff members to ensure a safe experience.

SKATING POND REQUIREMENTS

  • Skates must be worn on the pond at all times
  • Helmets are strongly recommended - helmets are included with skate rentals for all children 12 and under
  • Ice hockey, speed skating and rough-housing prohibited
  • Mountaintop conditions can change quickly, please be prepared and dress for the weather
  • Skate aid or zimmer frames are available
