With four different groomed trails to choose from, you'll discover something new each time you visit! Check out our Mountain Map.
Tour the groomed beginner and intermediate snowshoe trails of the Blue Grouse Loop, or head for Dam Mountain - a pristine loop of three main trails that circle Dam Mountain and Thunderbird Ridge. You can find the trails easily with clearly marked signs from the top of Grouse Mountain. Discover why snowshoeing is the fastest growing outdoor winter activity.
Access to our snowshoe trails is included with your General Admission ticket or valid pass. Visit the Current Conditions page for up-to-date operational information. Equipment rentals are available from the Fireside Hut, by our Mountaintop Skating Pond.
The Snowshoe Grind
Grouse Mountain has translated the intensity and accomplishment of the Grouse Grind into a winter experience – the Snowshoe Grind. Located mountaintop, the Snowshoe Grind promises to challenge. Starting at the relocated Grouse Grind timer, outside the Chalet adjacent the Skyride ramp and just southwest of the skate pond, the Snowshoe Grind is the perfect way to start Grouse Grind hiking season fit and strong, while embracing a snowy winter landscape.
Grind Timer Program
Track your progress all winter long with the purchase of a Grind™ Timer, containing a radio frequency chip, from Grouse Mountain (or use your existing Grouse Mountain Summit Seeker Card). Swipe your card at the Grind™ Timer outside the Chalet, and again after completing the trail, and your name and time will appear on the monitor at Alpine Guest Services in the Peak Chalet. Your results may also be printed for you at Alpine Guest Services.
Race Prep Clinic
Designed to prepare athletes of all abilities for competitive snowshoe races, our Race Prep clinics will help make your race experience positive and rewarding.
Ladies-Only Clinics
In addition to fun and challenging workouts, Ladies-Only Clinics cover a variety of educational topics that will help you to realize your individual goals. Discussion topics include goal setting, proper stretching techniques, sport nutrition, the benefits of cross-training, building a training program that works for you, and the mind game - developing your mental strength.
Snowshoe Fondue Tours
The Snowshoe Fondue tour combines snowshoeing and a scrumptious fondue in an evening of adventure and fun. The tour includes snowshoe and headlamp rentals, an experienced and informative guide, and an après snowshoeing fondue in Altitudes Bistro where you will enjoy a social dining experience with Cheese, Broth and Chocolate Fondues.
Beginner Snowshoe Clinics
Lose weight, reduce stress and get fit! Grouse Mountain's Beginner Snowshoe Clinic will teach you all about the fastest growing winter activity, plus introduce you to a variety of health and fitness-related topics that will help you realize your individual goals.
