(North Vancouver) With the return of cooler temperatures to the Peak of Vancouver, Grouse Mountain is pleased to unveil their highly-anticipated Y2Play Pass renewal offer for the 2015/16 season. In addition, the 2015/16 Y2Play Pass is now on sale to new passholders for a limited time.

In a season that has presented unprecedented weather challenges, a Y2Play Pass renewal offer has been developed to reward current passholders who renew with extra value during the 2015/16 season to effectively make their pass free.

A renewing Adult Y2Player has the opportunity for more than $700 in savings and in excess of $1,000 in value:

• a free day of skiing at Whistler Blackcomb to be used until the end of this snow season or until December 18, 2015 in the 2015/16 snow season (up to $119 value)
 • a Grouse Mountain gift card for most pass categories, valid for any product at the Peak of Vancouver except Y2Play passes (valued at $100 for an Adult Pass)
 • a complimentary Annual Local’s Pass (valued at $119 for an Adult Pass), providing year-round access to Grouse Mountain’s mountaintop activities
• a complimentary bring-a-friend-for-free lift ticket (valued at $58 for an Adult Pass)
• a complimentary Mountain Ziplines experience (valued at $109) • the opportunity to purchase a $300 Grouse Mountain gift card for just $200
• a chance to purchase 2016 Elan skis or a snowboard at nearly 50 percent off the retail price.

In addition to these special offers, renewing passholders and brand-new Y2Play purchasers are still entitled to all of the familiar Y2Play benefits they have previously received including discounts on rentals, retail, food and beverage and mountaintop activities.

“Without a doubt, the 2014/15 winter season has presented significant challenges to Grouse Mountain’s downhill operations, similar to the issues faced by our industry counterparts,” said Grouse Mountain general manager Michael Cameron. “With that in mind, we believe it is important to reward our Y2Play passholders for their loyalty with a renewal offering that provides extra value during a season that meteorologists state is a once-in-a-lifetime anomaly. While it has taken some time to finalize the details, we hope our passholders agree that our Y2Play renewal offer was worth waiting for and that the 2015/16 winter season is something to be very excited about.”

Grouse Mountain’s Y2Play Pass is widely acknowledged as the best value snow pass in North America. For just $359 at the adult rate, the 2015/16 Y2Play Pass features special reduced rates for students, parents, youth, children, seniors and families.

Since its inception during the 1999/2000 winter season, more than two million skiers and riders have enjoyed the exclusive benefits and steep discounts of Grouse Mountain’s Y2Play Pass which can be credited for helping create a new generation of skiers and riders in British Columbia.
