Bear-y exciting news – Grouse Mountain’s resident Grizzly bears are turning 25! To celebrate, Grinder and Coola are hosting a Bear-thday Fun-draiser, in partnership with the Grizzly Bear Foundation, on Saturday, July 25th at Grouse Mountain.
100% of proceeds from both auctions support the Grizzly Bear Foundation.
The fun-filled celebration will feature exclusive Bear-thday activities and educational programs to raise awareness and funds for orphaned Grizzly cub rewilding.

- Enhanced Ranger Talks (Grizzly Bear Habitat) 10:00am, 12:45pm, 4:00pm
• Birds in Motion (Birds in Motion Area) 12:00pm, 2:00pm, 5:00pm

• Indigenous Storytelling and drumming (Birds in Motion Area) 1:45pm
• Face Painting by donation (Grizzly Bear Lookout) 1pm-3pm
• Owl Talks (beside the Beavertails hut) 10:45am, 3:00pm
• Grizzly Bear-thday Cake Smash with Grinder and Coola featuring The Proud Little Warriors (Grizzly Bear Habitat) 3:30pm
More Activities at the Grizzly Bear Habitat: From 11am to 4pm
- Live Carving: Watch Indigenous artist William transform wood into a stunning carved piece during a live carving demonstration.
- Craft Station: Make your own bear ears and enjoy bear-themed colouring sheets.
- Mountaintop Scavenger Hunt: Find all 11 bear paw signs around the mountain, solve the puzzle, and enter for a chance to win great prizes.
- Sign a Bear-thday Card: Help celebrate Grinder and Coola by adding your birthday wishes to our giant Bear-thday card.
- Retail: Shop exclusive Bear-thday merchandise at the Bear Habitat Yurt and Spirit Gallery Gift Shop. 10% of all retail sales will be donated to the Grizzly Bear Foundation.
