Carson Ting
To launch the contest, Grouse Mountain has teamed up with locally based visual artist and illustrator Carson Ting, who will create his own artwork to be part of the Grouse Gallery, before joining the judging panel to help choose the winners.
Carson Ting owns and runs his own art and design studio called Chairman Ting based in Vancouver. The studio works on
everything creative from murals to animations. Carson started his career in Toronto after graduating from the Ontario
College of Art & Design. With initial aspirations of becoming a cartoonist, he quickly fell in love with the conceptual
creativity of advertising after he saw art having a real purpose in the commercial world. Across his successful career, he
has worked with a large variety of brands including Nike, Microsoft, Starbucks, adidas Originals, Porsche, The Cartoon Network, NBA, Snoop Dogg’s 19 Crimes, and more. He describes his artistic style as whimsical and lighthearted.
