Snow School Programs

Get your child immersed in full-day Snow School Camps with hours of lesson and ski/ride time.

Snow School Camps are recommended for children 5-14 years old.

All ability levels welcome.
Get your CSIA Instructor Certification at Grouse Mountain this winter.
Learn to ski this winter with our Junior Zone Camps for kids aged 5-6.

Lunch Options Students may bring their lunch or purchase a $10 voucher. Voucher includes the option of cheese pizza, chicken fingers or a burger. Meals come with a side of fries, fountain beverage and a cookie.

Helmets are mandatory for all Snow School programs, and are included with Rental packages. If a student does not need rental equipment but doesn't have a helmet, a helmet can be rented for $5 per day.

Program Details

Snow School Times

Half-day AM session: 8:00am-11:30am (not available for 13-17 years)

Half-day PM session: 12:30pm-4:00pm

Half-day After School session: 4:30pm-8:00pm

Full-day session: 9:00am-4:30pm (available for 7-12 years only)

Winter Break Mid-day session: 10:00am-1:30pm (available for 7-12 years only)

Ability Level

In order to provide the most suitable training for all students, lessons are divided into groups based on their ability level. Review the Ability Chart to determine the skill level of the student. Please consider our Freeride for levels 5 and 6.

Helmets

Helmets are mandatory for all children taking lessons. If your child is renting equipment, a helmet will be included in the price. If your child has their own equipment, but requires a helmet, you can rent one for an additonal $5 plus HST per day at the time of registration. Helmets can also be purchased at Outfitters in the Chalet, where passholders can use their 20% discount towards the purchase.

Parents

Sign up your child for Freeride, Zone Club, Zone Camp or Ski Wee and receive a 10% discount on an adult lesson. Parents of Junior Zone Campers may request a complimentary Escort Ticket if desired. If you would like to ski or snowboard while your child takes lessons, you can purchase a special lift ticket for $40.

Rentals

If your child requires rental equipment please have your child's height, weight, foot size, ability level and birth date information ready prior to calling to register.

Check In

First Day check in starts in the Valley Station at the base of the Mountain 30 minutes prior to session start time. Drop off area is very busy; please park in dedicated short term spots. For all subsequent sessions, please meet the instructor 15 minutes prior to the scheduled session time in the Valley Plaza.

Lunch and Snack Breaks

Half-day programs stop for snacks, and full-day programs for lunch and snacks, so be sure to pack a snack/lunch for your child, or take advantage of our Full-Day Lunch Option. Grouse Mountain Gift Cards are also available for purchase so that children can buy lunch each day at Lupins Café.
