With the weather looking less than tropical this weekend, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Slush Cup. We have so many other fun and exciting events on the calendar this year and look forward to bringing Slush Cup back in 2024!

Are you ready to make a splash at one of our most exciting events of the year? On Sunday, April 16th, the mountain will host its annual Slush Cup, and you won't want to miss it! Put on your craziest costume and hit the slopes for a day of adrenaline-pumping fun.

Slush Cup is a thrilling competition that challenges skiers and snowboarders to skim across a massive pond of icy slush without falling in. It's the ultimate test of skill, courage, and creativity. Don't forget to bring your sense of humour and your thirst for adventure!

But Slush Cup isn't just for the competitors - spectators are also encouraged to wear a costume, join in on the fun in the "splash zone" and cheer on the participants. Plus, the BBQ and Beer Garden on Peak Flats will help ensure everyone is properly fueled for fun.

The action kicks off at 1pm and goes until 3pm, followed by an awards ceremony and après fun. Prizes will be given to the best costume, best trick, best crash, crowd favourite and more. Don't forget - creativity is key for our panel of judges!

Please Note: Registration for Slush Cup is now full. Spectators with a Mountain Admission Ticket, Lift Ticket or valid Grouse Mountain Pass are welcome to watch from the "splash zone" and enjoy the festivities.

Event Day Schedule:
  • 10:30am - 12:30pm: Participant check-in and bib pick-up (Peak Flats)
  • 12:00pm: BBQ and Beer Garden open
  • 1:00 - 3:00pm: Slush Cup
  • 3:15pm: Award Ceremony
  • 5pm: BBQ and Beer Garden close

Event Location: Slush Cup is located on Peak Flats (the bottom of The Peak). Spectators not on skis or a snowboard can access the event by walking along the Snowshoe Grind trail - just follow the signs! Please ensure you are wearing snow appropriate footwear.

Rules & Regulations: Participants must be at least 12 years of age on event day. Participants under the age of 19 must have a parent/legal guardian sign the event waiver on their behalf. Helmets are required to participate in the event. No ski poles allowed in the pond.

What to Bring: Don't forget to wear the most outrageous costume you can find! Participants are strongly encouraged to bring an extra set of warm, dry clothes to change into after the competition.

Bag Check: Bag check will be available for participants at Peak Flats near the check-in area.
