To our Grouse Mountain Community,

As we come to the end of the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on both the unprecedented challenges we faced as well as the accomplishments we achieved together.

Looking back to the beginning of 2020, the winter season was off to a fabulous start. Our annual Family Day celebration and 24 Hours of Winter were both great successes and we were enjoying excellent spring conditions on the Mountain.

As the reality of COVID-19 set in we made the incredibly difficult decision to shut down our operations on March 16th to ensure the safety of our guests, team members and broader community. During the closure, our team worked hard to develop and implement extensive safety protocols and our new PureClean Commitment.

With these new safety measures in place, we were thrilled to be able to reopen and welcome you back to the Mountain on June 22nd. It was certainly a learning process for everyone as we navigated our new protocols together including our new Skyride Reservation System. This summer also saw some exciting new initiatives at the Mountain like Symphony Sundays and the successful collaboration with Boulevard Kitchen + Oyster Bar's Chef Alex Chen for our Chefs Grill Series.

Thanks to some early snowfall we officially began our winter season by welcoming skiers and riders back to the slopes on November 20th. With the change of season, we made further operational and technology adjustments to assist in making your visit even safer and to improve the reservation system for winter. Albeit, our technology isn’t perfect and there have been challenges through the process but we truly appreciate your feedback and patience as we continue to evolve.

Please know that everything we have accomplished over the last 9 months would not have been possible without your ongoing participation and support. It is a testament to you, our Grouse Mountain community, that we have been able to remain open amidst changing health measures and restrictions. I want to thank you for your effort and willingness to work alongside our team to ensure we can continue to safely enjoy the Mountain.

Throughout this experience, we have been able to see the positive physical and mental health impact of staying active in our fresh mountain air and we will endeavor to do everything in our power to continue providing a safe environment for outdoor recreation.

I wish you all a happy and healthy New Year as we look forward to a brighter 2021.

Sincerely,

Michael Cameron
