It was another gorgeous evening in West Vancouver last week. We ran 7km along a beautiful (and flat) run in Ambleside. It was wonderful to be out enjoying the sun.
Kim Yae was on hand to give a very interesting talk on the types of injuries you can get while training. She covered a lot of ways to prevent injuries including proper stretching before and after training.

Her information was great. Kim has an office where she can answer questions you may have about your injury concerns: City Sports Physio
After Kim gave her talk on injury prevention, there were lots of questions about how to deal with current injuries and also how different body types may be susceptible to certain injuries.

Then we broke into groups, with a run/ walk group that went out along the trail and back along the seawall and then into groups of runners from slower to super fast!
Odessa has spent the past few years practicing Yoga and is just returning to running. After a two year break from running she was going faster than I was! Odessa was a great running companion and we had a nice conversation as we made our way through the trails, along the Capilano river and back again. At the end of the training session, Odessa was the lucky winner of a Columbia Sportswear top.

It was another fantastic training night and on the drive home I was already looking forward to our next group run.

Sign up for Seek the Peak here so you can join myself and hundreds of others on the journey!

Tonight is our sixth session, and I hope to see you there,
