(North Vancouver) Grouse Mountain is happy to announce that our 8,000-square foot ice skating pond – the only mountaintop outdoor skate pond in the lower mainland – will officially open at 11:00 am today. Great for a fun family adventure or a romantic date – it’s time to lace up those skates for a spin in the fresh mountain air.

As one of the first winter activities to get underway at the Peak of Vancouver, the skating pond will be open to visitors from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. Ice skating on the outdoor rink is complimentary with a Grouse Mountain Alpine Experience ticket, Snow Pass or Annual Local's Pass and rentals are available for all ages.

The 2015/16 winter season is shaping up to be a great one with new Black Diamond night skiing and riding on Blazes, a new Sliding Zone and significant enhancements to the North Shore's largest snowmaking fleet. With colder temperatures and more flakes in the forecast, it’s clear that winter has arrived.

For the latest in snow and weather conditions, please visit grousemountain.com or call our Snowphone at 604-986-6262. You can also text GROUSEREPORT to 333777 and receive a text alert whenever we receive more than 10cm of new snow.
