Team Grouse Mountain Resorts edges out the competition in this year’s biggest ever Vancouver Sun Run. With a first place finish in the Food and Hospitality Division of the Corporate Teams, Grouse Mountain Resorts finished in a cumulative time of 7 hours 45 minutes and 46 seconds. Teams are measured on the cumulative times of the top 10 finishers in each team.

“Coming off of an astounding Winter Season on Grouse Mountain, one could argue that skiing and riding might just be the key to our ‘training’ regime.” Says Grouse Mountain General Manager, Michael Cameron. “I think this proves to Vancouver that our crew have switched gears and are ready to take in what the Spring and Summer seasons bring to Vancouver. But we'd also like to publicly put out the challenge to other members of the Food and Hospitality Industry for next year. Start training now!”

Grouse Mountain offers Sun Run registration for all staff and have participated in 8 consecutive Sun Runs. Grouse Mountain employees have unlimited use of the resort's activities, from skiing, riding, skating and snowshoeing in the winter to hiking and sightseeing in the spring and summer. Year round staff are encouraged to include their families in their participation in order to realize the company’s core value of health and wellness.

“Our success in this year’s Sun Run is a testament to our company’s commitment to the health and wellness of our employees and their families, “ says Grouse Mountain Director of Human Resources, Charmaine Carswell. While participation is the first win, it is also nice to be recognized as outstanding in our corporate category. I’m proud of our team.”

Grouse Mountain Resorts is the number one youth employer on the North Shore and is committed to facilitating health and wellness not only to its average 1.1 million annual visitors, but also to its employees and their families.
