Resort enables skiers and riders to beat the world rush with early launch of famed Y2Play Pass sales

January 28, 2010, Grouse Mountain, North Vancouver, B.C. – New snowfall and sub-zero temperatures provide skiers and boarders renewed assurance of favourable conditions for alpine snow sports in the city. Warmer temperatures have lapsed and Mother Nature has brought in new flurries with 6 centimetres of snowfall in the past 24 hours and more underway.
This momentous season, launched last November, is further marked by the early return of Grouse Mountain’s Y2Play Pass this week. Now entering its 12th year, the Y2Play pass allows guests to enjoy unlimited skiing and boarding for the remainder of this winter, until the end of the 2010/11 season, with up to 80% savings off the regular rate.
The early launch of Y2Play (by nearly a month) allows skiers and riders to pack in more hill time than ever and leave the pineapple express behind them forever. Y2Play pass holders can also access the mountain during the upcoming 2010 Olympic Games to enjoy the many other mountaintop activities. While other ski resorts are blacked out for skiing before, during and after Games time in 2010, Grouse Mountain remains open. The Y2Play Pass goes on sale January 29th, opening up the recreation opportunities for Vancouverites well in advance of the arrival of international guests next month.
In addition to the Y2Play pass, Grouse Mountain currently offers unique access for the resort’s unprecedented 24/7 opening during the Games with the After Hours Pass. Full privilege admission to all that Grouse Mountain has to offer from 8pm until 6am, for all 17 days of the Olympic Winter Games, is provided with the the After Hours Pass.
