Private Lessons Confirmation

Thank you for choosing Grouse Mountain for your premium Private Ski or Snowboard experience. We are excited to provide you with tailored instruction designed to meet your goals and help you explore the mountain in a personalized way.

Your Lesson Experience

Your private lesson offers a premium experience with one-on-one coaching from our expert instructors. Together, you’ll enjoy customized teaching techniques and guided mountain exploration to make the most of your time on the slopes.

Meeting Location

Please check in at the Private Lesson flag 15 mins prior to the start time of your lesson. This flag is located in the Snow School Learning Area outside the Outpost Rentals building.

Be Ready to Ski or Ride

To maximize your lesson, please ensure you are fully dressed, equipped, and ready to ski or snowboard at the start time. If you require rentals, please confirm that all equipment details (height, weight, shoe size, ability level) are accurate prior to arrival.

What to Wear

Please ensure that you are equipped with the following:

• Warm base layer such as long johns and long-sleeved shirt

• Warm fleece or sweater

• Waterproof winter jacket and snow pants

• Warm socks

• Waterproof gloves or mittens

Helmets are strongly recommended for all lesson participants and are required for children. Ensure you have a helmet designed for recreational snow sports. Helmets are included with all rental packages for children.
If you have your own equipment, but require a helmet, you can rent one for an additional $5 + tax at the time of registration. Helmets can also be purchased at Outfitters in the Chalet, where passholders receive a 20% discount on their purchase.
We recommend ski googles, a hat and extra socks. These items are not available to rent.
If you are renting, please ensure that you have winter footwear as you will be walking through snow to access the rental building.

Food & Snacks

Breaks for snacks and water can be taken at the discretion of the instructor. We recommend packing a snack that can fit in a jacket pocket as well as a small water bottle.

Tickets

If you have purchased lift tickets with your lesson, these will be available from Guest Services on the day of your lesson.

Day of Lesson

Be sure to check the current mountain weather and activity information on the day of your lesson. You can view this information on our website at Today on Grouse.

Cancellation Policy

Camps and Clinics	2 + Weeks	No penalty	Refund back onto the original payment method less a $50 admin fee for Camps and Clinics, and $25 admin fee for Day + Private lessons OR Credit issued for full value to be used towards snow school products before the end of the same season.
Camps and Clinics	> 2 weeks - 24 hours	Flat fee of $25 for any reschedules	No refunds. Credit towards make up lesson may be available on presentation of a doctor’s note.
Camps and Clinics	> 24 hours	No reschedules	No refunds. Credit towards make up lesson may be available on presentation of a doctor’s note.
Day and Private Lessons	72 Hours	No penalty	Refund back onto the original payment method less a $50 admin fee for Camps and Clinics, and $25 admin fee for Day + Private lessons OR Credit issued for full value to be used towards snow school products before the end of the same season.
