Are there any exceptions on age requirements?
Mavericks Bike Camps are for ages 7-14 only, no exceptions.
Does my child need to be able to ride a bike to join?
Yes. All camp participants must be confident riding a bike, including using gears and hand brakes, and should be comfortable riding on paved and loose/gravel paths.How will groups be organized? Can my child ride with their friend?
Groups will be organized by age and ability level. Any children wishing to ride together must be at the same ability level or the
better rider must drop down a level.
What days/times do camps run?
No, all bike camp programs are full-day programs.Does my child need their own equipment?
Limited bike rentals are available, however we recommend that participants bring their own equipment. At minimum, participants must have:- A mountain bike in good working condition (dual suspension recommended)
- A well-fitting full face helmet and gloves
- Water bottle or hydration pack
- Spare inner tube that fits their bike
- Sunscreen
Are lunch and snacks included?
Lunches are not included. Campers should pack a lunch that does not require heating, along with at least two(2) snacks.
There will be storage available for bags at the top of the mountain.
Will water be available?
Yes, however participants should have the means to carry water with them while riding. A hydration pack or water bottle is
strongly recommended.
We are going on a trip. Can I cancel my child’s camp?
- Cancellations 2+ weeks prior can be refunded less a $50 administration fee or credit for full value
- Cancellations between 2 weeks and 24 hours prior to camp are non-refundable
- Cancellations less than 24 hours prior to start are non-refundable
My child is missing a day due to a family event. Can we get a credit?
No credits will be given for missed days.
