Please be advised that all downhill and mountain top activities will be closed from 7:00pm, due to inclement weather. The Chalet will remain open for the Observatory bookings.
We’re currently experiencing a high volume of emails and calls, which may result in longer-than-usual response times. If you would like to purchase a Y2Play Centennial Pass, please email guestservices@grousemountain.com by end of day today (Thursday, March 19) and we will honour the current price. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Please be advised, Grouse Mountain Regional Park (including the Grouse Grind and BCMC) is currently closed due to heavy rainfall and hazardous conditions. Park staff will continue to monitor weather conditions, assess trail safety, and determine when it is safe to reopen.

This week we began excavations to the Bear's hibernation habitat - the first area they access after they emerge from their winter's sleep.  The first stage is to get in there with the heavy machinery and remove the majority of the snow.  Our excavators and grooming machines have been working this week to remove the 15 feet of snow currently present in the habitat.

Once this is complete, by early next week, we will then begin the fine work by hand and dig around the building and trees with shovels.  Hopefully most of the excavation will be done by the end of next week and we can begin to set-up the fence.

The weather has been warming up and Grinder and Coola have been showing more signs of activity.  Soon we will give them their first feed of lettuce and within a few weeks they will be outside and playing in the snow!

Stay tuned for more updates soon!
