(North Vancouver) Recognized by visitors and locals alike as Vancouver’s top four season attraction, Grouse Mountain is proud to announce the Resort has once again been named one of BC’s Top Employers as selected by Mediacorp Canada Inc.

Now in its 13th year, BC’s Top Employers is a special designation that recognizes the British Columbia employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work. Employers are evaluated based on eight criteria: physical workplace; work atmosphere & social; health, financial & family benefits; vacation & time off; employee communications; performance management; training & skills development; and community involvement.

“While Grouse Mountain is steeped in history, it is a Resort and workplace that doesn’t stand still” said Grouse Mountain’s President, Michael Cameron. “Our focus on continuous innovation means that there are always new opportunities and challenges to undertake. Combine that with a mix of long-standing and seasonal employees plus our unique mountain environment and you have a dynamic place to work.”

Key reasons why Grouse Mountain was selected as a top employer include ongoing employee development programs as well as the unique work environment overlooking the City of Vancouver and employees’ unlimited access to outdoor recreation on the Mountain.

“Along with offering best-in-class benefits tailored to employees’ individual needs, many of this year’s winners offer a relaxed workplace culture that emphasizes healthy, active lifestyles,” says Kristina Leung, Senior Editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. “The rest of the country looks to British Columbia for leadership in this field.”

As the top employer of youth on Vancouver’s North Shore, Grouse Mountain offers employees a vibrant and enjoyable work environment with a focus on leadership development and advancement opportunities while also embracing the benefits of outdoor recreation awarded by the Resort’s unique mountaintop playground.
