The awe-inspiring 1,400 metre climb saw participants wind their way through North Vancouver, up the Grouse Grind, and further to the summit of Grouse Mountain, completing the race from sea to summit as individuals or as part of a relay team.
The 2025 Seek the Peak men’s title was secured by Mike Sidic with a time of 1:33:14 and the women’s top competitor was Christina Dickson coming in with a time of 1:52:13. “At Grouse Mountain, we deeply value our connection to the community, environment, and local outdoor spaces that make this region so special,” says Michael Cameron, President, Grouse Mountain Resort. “It’s inspiring to see a record number of participants come together to take on Seek the Peak while raising funds for Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation. We’re proud to kick off the 2025 Grind Run Series on such a high note in support of an incredibly worthy cause.”
This year’s Seek the Peak raised valuable funds for Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation (MVRPF), the only registered charity dedicated to supporting Metro Vancouver Regional Parks, which includes Grouse Mountain Regional Park located on the southern slope of Grouse Mountain. Thus far, Seek the Peak 2025 has already succeeded in raising more than $25,000 for MVRPF.
“Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation is grateful to all Seek the Peak racers, and to Grouse Mountain for their continued support in protecting and restoring our invaluable regional parks,” said Mark van der Zalm, President, Metro Vancouver Regional Parks Foundation. “This year’s Seek the Peak funds will contribute to critical initiatives including trail restorations, safety upgrades, and bridge construction in Capilano River regional Park and Lynn Headwaters Regional Park, creating tangible, lasting impact for our community, environment, and beyond.”
Seek the Peak is the first event in Grouse Mountain’s 2025 Grind Run Series which also sees the return of the already sold-out Multi Grouse Grind Challenge on June 20, and Grouse Grind Mountain Run on Sunday, September 7, opening for registration soon.
