Grinder and Coola Emerge from 19th Hibernation
after a 128 day winter dormancy period, having lost 15% & 19% of their body weight respectively. This year Grinder entered hibernation weighing 419 kg (921 pounds) and the typically larger Coola was 480 kg (1056 pounds). Bears Begin Winter Preparations

First Snow of the Season!
Operations, Grant Wahl. Grouse Mountain normally opens for skiing and riding in late November and operates until the first part of May. Offering 33 ski and snowboard runs, 15 night runs, 4 chairlifts, 6 terrain parks, 9km of snowshoe trails , Grouse Mountain provides the North Shore's biggest terrain variety. This 2018/19 season the Mountain celebrates 25 years of terrain parks.
