Grouse Mountain is pleased to be taking part in the national celebration of Canada’s avalanche safety and expertise this weekend as part of Avalanche Awareness Days. Grouse Mountain’s Patrol Team will be on-hand all Saturday and Sunday at the Peak of Vancouver providing complimentary sessions on How to Read a Public Avalanche Bulletin in the Theatre in the Sky as well as on-snow transceiver demos taking place outside the Chalet from 10am to 3pm. Swing by to meet the team and pick up some helpful expert advice on how to stay safe in the snow this winter season. Looking for some more in-depth knowledge on avalanche formation, how to identify avalanche terrain and the steps required to plan a safe trip? Grouse Mountain is offering a new Avalanche Skills Training Course on weekends throughout February and March.
