at Grouse Mountain

Learn more about staying safe in wintery mountaintop conditions at Grouse Mountain with our Mountaintop Safety Training programs. Our qualified instruction team will help you be more prepared for winter outings. 

Avalanche Skills Training
Level 1

Learn from our experienced team of professional patrollers how to evaluate avalanche conditions, analyze a Public Avalanche Bulletin and better plan for winter outings. Get your AST Level 1 and learn some of the basics with a 2-day, hands-on course.

Proud to be an official Avalanche Canada Avalanche Skills Training Provider. Our team of instructors is led by an avalanche forecaster and all of our instructors are members of the Canadian Avalanche Association and the Grouse Mountain Ski Patrol.

Announcements

The BCMC Trail will be closed Monday – Friday for trail maintenance work beginning May 18th for approximately 10 weeks. A marked detour will be in place and the Grouse Grind remains open. Contact Metro Vancouver for more info.
