Mavericks Mountain Bike Camps will deliver five days of adventure, skill-building, and confidence on two wheels for kids ages 7-14. Bike Park Flow & Fundamentals are 3-hour small group day lessons for riders ages 7+. Lessons run twice daily at 10am and 1:30pm, providing expert instruction for beginner to intermediate levels.Can I ride my bike outside Grouse Bike Park?No, bikes are only allowed within the designated bike park. However, there are bike racks on the mountaintop and locks are available for rent if you want to explore the mountain on foot. Bikes are restricted to the designated area.Are e-bikes permitted in the park?E-bikes are permitted for downhill riding only in the park; uphill travel or climbing is not allowed.How many trails are available?Grouse Bike Park is now open with 11 trails and a learning zone, with an additional 3 trails expected to launch mid-summer. View the Trail Map.What types of trails are there?The bike park is designed to cater to riders of all skill levels, with a focus on progression. Riders can look forward to a variety of tracks, including beginner green and blue flow trails, a blue jump line, single black technical trails and advanced intermediate and expert trails. A double black jump line will also open in August, with additional blue and single black technical trails slated to open later this summer.What is the required safety gear?Helmets are mandatory. Full-face helmets and other protective gear are strongly recommended.Who built Grouse Bike Park?Grouse Bike Park was built by Gravity Logic. BIKE PARK pass protection Grouse Mountain Pass Protection offers peace of mind and protection for the investment you're making in your mountain biking season.Should a serious medical situation prevent you from enjoying your pass for the full season, Pass Protection offers a partial refund or transfer of your pass.Pass protection must be purchased at the time of your pass purchase. This policy states that under no circumstances will refunds or credits be given to those who do not purchase our Pass Protection option.Period of Coverage: Coverage begins at the beginning of the bike park season, or on the date the protection is purchased, and terminated on the last day of the bike park season in which the pass expires.Protected Persons This coverage will allow for the cancellation of the Bike Park Pass for the Protected Passholder.Pass Protection Details:If a parent, spouse, or child (under the age of 19) is also a refundable passholder and chooses to cease participation due to a family member's injury or sickness, he or she is also eligible to a refund. The associated family member must be a passholder at Grouse Mountain Resort. The refund is limited to one additional claimant. Bike Park Passes will be refunded according to the ‘Refund Schedule’ (see below) based on the following criteria: Debilitating injury/illness that prevents participation in mountain biking for at least 30 consecutive days. A doctor's note is required. Passholder's employer requires a residential relocation of at least 300km from Grouse Mountain Resort. The transfer must take place at least 45 days after the pass purchase date and must be involuntary. Refund option does not include:Intentional self-injury or pre-existing injury. Voluntarily leaving the area for work or travel, or any other change in employment status other than a transfer by current employer. Environmental and Mechanical circumstances such as fire, vandalism, labor disputes, weather conditions or mechanical failures. MUST BE COMFORTABLE RIDING A BICYCLE.Blue Challenging riding with steep slopes and/or obstacles, possibly on narrow trails with man-made objects and features. These include but are not limited to: jumps, ramps, elevated features, gaps, drops, rocks and other terrain variations. MUST BE A COMPETENT MOUNTAIN BIKE RIDER.Black Difficult riding with a mixture of long steep docents, loose trail surfaces, numerous natural and man-made obstacles and features. These include but are not limited to: jumps, ramps, elevated features, gaps, drops, rocks and other terrain variation. MUST HAVE ADVANCED MOUNTAIN BIKE HANDLING SKILLS.Double BlackHighly Difficult Riding. Some elements that will be encountered include large man-made and natural jumps and obstacles, wood ramps, elevated narrow trails, drops, rock faces and other difficult terrain variations. EXPERT MOUNTAIN BIKERS WITH VERY ADVANCED BICYCLE HANDLING SKILLS ONLY.ProlineEXTREMELY DIFFICULT RIDING. These trails and features contain the highest level of difficulty within our rating system. HIGHLY ADVANCED EXPERTS ONLY!Bike Park Boundary Signage With the exception of Mountain Highway, leaving the Bike Park Boundary is prohibited. Passes will be revoked for breach. MACHINE BUILt JUMPSMachine Built Jumps are on designated jump trails. The individual jumps are marked with flags. Bikes are not permitted outside the Bike Park. For the enjoyment of other guests, we kindly ask you to lock your bike in the Bike Park if you plan on visiting other areas of the operation. You must walk your bike at the base of the mountain and upper gondola area. Bikes are only permitted to ride in the Bike Park.
