SnowShoe Tours

When to Meet
Please arrive at the base no later than 45 minutes earlier than the listed start time. This is to allow time for parking, travel to the mountaintop on the Red Skyride or Blue Grouse Gondola, and time to meet your snowshoe guide. Please be on the Skyride or Gondola at least 15 minutes prior to the tour start time, to ensure you are on the mountaintop before your tour begins.

Where to Meet
Please meet at the outdoor fire pit located in front of the Mountaintop Skating Pond. Here you will be welcomed by your guide(s) who will be wearing a red jacket.

What to Wear/Bring
• Sturdy hiking/walking boots with warm thick socks are required.
• “Technical” athletic gear (i.e., non-cotton) is most suitable for snowshoeing: synthetic tights or pants, removable or buildable layers and a shell jacket are recommended.
• Outerwear that is waterproof/windproof are recommended, as the temperature and conditions can change rapidly once on the mountain.
• Gloves, a toque and perhaps a neck warmer or scarf is also a great idea.
• A headlamp, if you have one and are participating in an evening tour. If you don't have a headlamp, one will be lent to you.
• Snowshoes, if rentals are not included with your tour. The following tours do not include snowshoe rentals: Ladies Snowshoe Night, Backcountry Exploration Tour, Social Snowshoe for a Cause, Private Snowshoe Tours.
